STREET
STOCK GAS 4 X 4 TRUCK
1.
Licensing All vehicles must
have a current license plate in place. PA licensed trucks must have a current
inspection sticker. Proof must be shown of ownership, insurance, and inspection.
2.
Weight 6300 lbs.
a.
All added ballast must be in bed
and secure. Any object that can be considered ballast must also be in the bed.
No hidden ballast of any kind in any location.
b.
No weight brackets or hanging
weights on front end.
c.
Factory front bumper only or no
bumper. Pipe, tube, brush guard, channel iron or any other conceivable style of
front bumper is NOT PERMITTED.
d.
No weighted front-end accessories
of any possible kind.
e.
No snowplow brackets, snowplow
receiver brackets, or weight bar receiver brackets of any kind.
f.
Any non-competing points member is
exempt from having snowplow brackets, brush guards, or any accessories up front
at the discretion of the tech inspector.
3.
Hitch Adjustable hitch, no less
than 35% of wheelbase, stationary in all directions. Puller must supply his or
her own clevis and pin and be ready to pull. 3 I.D. minimum diameter on all
hitches.
4.
Tires 10 inch overall tread
width, or 12.50" X 35" as stamped, D.O.T. approved. No modifications
to tires. No dual wheels, no split rims, studded tires, or chains.
5.
Engine Factory manufactured
engine for make of pick-up truck. No internal or visual modifications except for
up to .030 overbore. Dress up kits allowed. One (1) single four-barrel
carburetor, vacuum secondary only, no double pumpers, and no more than 750 CFM.
One (1) inch maximum spacer plate under carburetor only. After market mechanical
fuel pump permitted. Dual plane one (1) piece aluminum intake, no modifications.

Heads cast iron stock
production O.E.M. heads. No alterations except for planing.
c.
Cam
Any hydraulic cam.
d.
Pistons Flat top or dish, no
dome.
e.
Fuel pumps No electric fuel
pumps unless factory installed.

Engine:
Engine must remain in stock location.
g.
Rocker Arms:
No roller or roller-tipped rockers.
6.
Truck bed Vehicle must have a
bed in place. Wooden flatbeds are permitted, but must have sides and fenders to
cover rear wheels. Truck cab and
chassis must match.
7.
Suspension:
a.
Stock suspension must be in place.
b.
No solid suspension.
c.
No suspension modifications of any
kind. No traction bars, ladder bars, stabilizer bars, blocked, welded, or solid
shocks, or any other non-stock modification of any kind.
d.
Exceptions:
i.
Rear suspension blocks are
permitted. Rear blocks must be securely fastened with a minimum of one (1) inch
clearance in all directions. Rear blocks are to have a maximum of three (3) inch
contact area. One (1) rear block per side. No
spools or welded differentials. Truck
must be able to be driven on and off the track without unlocking the hubs.
ii.
Spring clamping is permitted. Four
(4) clamps per axle.
iii.Two
shocks per wheel are permitted. Each pair of double shocks must be mounted
parallel to each other. No opposable mounting of shocks will be permitted.
iv.
Suspension Lifts are allowed.
8.
Exhaust Must be in place.
Headers permitted. All exhaust must exit through a muffler and exit the body.
9.
Brakes Must be in place and in
working order.
10.
Glass All windows must be in
place. Windshield and drivers side may not be smoked glass.
11.
Safety If engine is not stock,
blow-proof bell housing on trucks with standard shift transmission or blow-proof
blanket on automatic transmissions are required. Drive shaft loops required (2
on rear and 1 on front) and shielding recommended. Fire extinguisher in cab is
recommended. Seat belts are required. Northwest
points members must have drive shaft loops.
12.
Fuel Gasoline. No oxygen
accelerators.
Cam
2 allowed as pump fuel.
13.
No haul-ins. No tow-ins. Must be
driven in and out unless broken No Northwest Street Stock Truck is eligible
to pull in Northwest Hi-Performance Stock. However, you can move to
Hi-Performance, but you will have to stay Northwest Hi-Performance for the
remainder of the pulling year. Any driver arguing with a track official is
subject to immediate disqualification. All decisions of the track official will
be final at each pull. Any protests will be settled at the next club meeting.
Helmets are required.
14.
If more than twenty-five (25)
trucks are registered in a class, the Competition Director has the right to
waive the 75 rule. Pullers will be notified before the class starts.
15.
Unless specified everything else
must remain factory stock.
NORTHWEST
HI-PERFORMANCE STOCK 4X4 TRUCK
1.
Weight 6600 lbs
2.
Engine Open factory engine same
as manufacturer of the truck. Cast iron block.
Cast iron or aluminum heads. Electric fan and electrical water pump
optional. Engine shielding same as Super Stock Trucks.
Engine in stock location plus or minus 1. Engine
limited to 540 cubic inches.
3.
Headers Open headers.
Exhaust must exit below the truck with deflection shields or turn downs,
or vertically through the hood.
4.
Intake Aluminum intakes
allowed. No tunnel rams. One (1) complete single four (4) barrel carburetor only
or injection.
5.
Drive Shaft Safety Requirements
Same as Super Stock. All trucks must have three (3) round metal loops shielding
in each drive shaft (two (2) piece drive shaft will have six (6) metal loops).
360 degree loop must be a minimum of 3/8 thick aluminum, or Ό steel, Ύ
wide (or wider) and not more than two (2) inches from the shaft in any
direction. End loops to be placed no further than six (6) inches from universal
joints with third (3) loop in center of shaft, or can be a solid tube (3/8
aluminum or Ό steel) meeting the above requirements. No
cast metal. All trucks will have a 360 degree metal shield around the
universal joints; 3/8 thick aluminum must have 1/8 steel liner or Ό
thick steel, minimum width six (6) inches.
6.
Kill Switch Same as Super
Stock. Switch must be located in the rear center of the truck (maximum six (6)
inches off center in any direction), 24 above the point of hook.
7.
Suspension Solid suspension
allowed. Traction bars optional, front and rear.
8.
Wheelbase any.
9.
Tires 10 inch overall tread
width, or 12.50" X 35" as stamped, D.O.T. approved. No
cuts. No hot knife marks or modifications to tires. No wranglers, dual
wheels, chains, studded tires, or stock car tires. No deflector shields front or rear behind the tires.
10.
Weights Front weights
permitted. Maximum overall 60 from center of front axle to furthermost point
of weights.
11.
Transmissions/Clutches Clutches
must meet minimum SFI Spec 1.1 or 1.2.
Bell
housing must meet minimum SFI Spec 6.1.
Automatics must run a minimum SFI Spec 4.1 blanket that extends from back
of engine block to front of tail shaft. Blanket
must have a minimum 6 overlap and must be tight to back of block.
Any transmission or transfer case blow proof bell housing or blanket.
12.
Safety - Fire suits & helmets
required same as Super Stock Truck rules.
13.
Hitch Full 3 I.D. loop.
26 maximum height and 27% of wheelbase minimum. Stationary in all directions.
Hitch must be accessible.
14.
Fuel Gasoline only. No oxygen
accelerators or alcohol.
15.
Fuel Tanks All fuel tanks must
be located in an open area. Fuel tanks may not be located under hood or in cab,
unless factory installed tanks are used. However, factory installed fuel tanks
may be moved to an open area. Must
have a manual shut-off at the tank.
16.
Electric fuel pump optional, but
must be hooked up to the kill switch.
17.
No hood or body modifications,
except for working hood scoop of 6 and/or header exits. Body
must be steel. Must have factory firewall, bench seat or one bucket seat,
switches optional. Wood and fiberglass beds are permitted. Any floor or tonneau
cover permitted. Driveline must not be visible.
18.
Must have working brakes on front.
Lights and rear brakes optional.
19.
All glass in place. Door has to
work and window must go up and down. No tinted glass or Plexiglass.
20.
Fire extinguisher in cab is
required. Helmets and seatbelts required.
21.
No planetary rear-ends.
22.
No Northwest Hi-Performance
Stock truck is eligible to pull Northwest Street Stock. However, you
can move to Northwest Super Stock, but you will have to stay in Northwest
Super Stock for the remainder of the pulling year and must comply to all
Northwest Super Stock rules. Any driver arguing with a track official is
subject to immediate disqualification. All decisions of the track official will
be final at each pull. Any protests will be settled at next club meeting.
